Having never seen a geyser in person I didn't know what to expect. You would think that staring at water shooting out of the ground is really no big deal, but when your realize what is actually going on you just have to marvel at nature. This isn't some computer generated explosion, this is really water getting so hot underground that the pressure forces it out in a stream straight up into the air. The geyser has a mind of its own and would erupt every 2 minutes, then every 8...it really decided what it wanted to do (as nature usually does). Around the geyser are other smaller marvels, all amazing in their own right, but Strokkur is definitely the main attraction at Geysir Verslun. What things in nature make you marvel?

Fantastic! I found some videos of the Strokkur Geysir on YouTube that definitely make me want to see it in person sometime!
