A Kid's Guide to Bangkok

Boy, oh boy, I am really excited about trying those fried bugs!  I can't wait to let you know how they taste.  Here are some other ideas you had for me in Bangkok:

  1. So? Are you gonna? You know, have deep-fried bugs?

  3. Elliot, thank you for all the great advice. Your guide has really helped me get around Bangkok and find things to do. I am upset that I haven't been able to find a "fried-bug" seller yet...but I am still looking! I am wondering if it is a seasonal treat? If not I know where I can get fried silk worms...
    Hope you are having fun!

  4. Wikitravel says that they can commonly be found on Khao San Road at the northern side of Rattanakosin, wherever that is! I wouldn't make a special trip for bugs! Hope you're having a great time. Loved the pics of the elephants.

  5. I tried Khao San Road, Chatachuk Weekend Market and even (the not so nice) Patpong Night Market...but only mystery meat on a stick for sale. Even if I need to roast one myself, I will definitely be munching on a bug at some point on my trip. A promise is a promise!
